ORDINANCE NO 2201
(Published in the Salina Daily Union 1918)
An ordinance fixing the maximum charges to be made for elec-
tric current and gas in the City of Salina, Kansas, and
letting the contract therefor.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Sec�iQP_.l. That The Salina Light, Power & Gas Company
may charge f"lectric current furnished for commercial power
to the City of "4ia and the inhabitants thereof, not to exceed
the maximum rate %les

month; provided, t no bill for commercial power,
exclusively shalln One ($1.00)"Dollar",per month per
horsepower up to ower, and fifty (50¢) cents per
horsepower on the excess horse?,,/and in no case less than

that should the charge for ' currentft

the tenth day of each month following t t in which such service
is rendered, that the Company shall have t e right to charge in
addition thereto as a penalty for nonpayment, ten per cent of
the gross amount of said bill.
ec. 2. That the said Salina Light, Power & Gas Company

($1.50) -per and 'cubic geet as measured by meters of
standard makinstalled by and remain the property of said
Company; prowe,
that should the bill for the gas
used not be o fore the tenth day of the month following
that in which the sery et;P rendered, -that said Company shall
have the right to add ten cent penalty for nonpayment, upon
the gross amount of said bil ; and provided further that no
monthly bill for gas shall be 1 ss than fifty (50¢) cents,
subject also to t8n per cent peva , as hereinbefore set forth,
in Section 1.
Sec. 3. That said maximum charges so fixed as aforesaid,
shall be in force only until such time as the Mayor and Coun
oil of the City of Salina, Kansas, shall modify, change or alter
the same, and the right is expressly reserved to .the said Mayor
and Council to modify, change, or alter such maximum rates so
fixed as aforesaid, at any time.
Sec. 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force from and after its publication once in the official City
paper.
