ORDINANCE NO. 2196
(Published in the Salina Daily Union July 1918)
An ordinance granting the right of way to the Union Pacific
Railroad Company, its successors and assigns for a
switch track across certain streets in the city of
Salina.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Douncilmen of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That the right of way be and the same is
hereby granted to the Union Pacific Railroad Company, its
successors and assigns, to build, maintain and operate two
switch tracks and to run its engines, and trains and cars
thereon, ,across Ninth Street in the city of Sallina, Kansas,
between its present tracks as the same now cross Ninth
Street, and a point where North Street intersects said Ninth
Street, and to build, miantain, operate and extend, one of
such tracks along and across the north side of North Street,
at or' east of its intersection with Seventh Street, to con-
nect with the present McPherson Branch Switch.
Sec. 2. Said switch tracks to be built and construct
ed a in accordance with the plans and specifications of the
City Engineer and the Street and Alley Committee of the city
of Salina, Kansas, relating to railroad crossings on paved
streets in said City.
Sec. 3. This ordinance is passed to correct a defect
in Ordinance No. 2113 passed and approved December 3rd, 1917.
Sec. 4. This ordinance when accepted, shall operate as
a contract between said railroad company and said City.
Sec. 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from and after its publication once in the official
City pa per .
