2178 Sidewalk Improvements - Weaver's Additionr 122 ORDINANCE NO. 2178 (Published in the Salina Daily Union May 1918) An Ordinance providing for the construction of certain sidewalks in the City of Salina, Kansas. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina: Section 1. That the owner or owners of the following de- scribed lots and tracts of land in the city of Salina, Kansas, are hereby required to construct or cause to be constructed on or before the 12th day of June, 1918, a sidewalk in front of and adjacent to such lots and tracts of land as follows, to -wit: Lots 2-4-6-8-10-12 and 14, on Third Street in the city of Salina, Kansas. Elm Street; Weaver's Addition; S, 80 ft, " 22; Elm Street; Weaver's Addition., N : 62 . ft : " 24, Elm Street' Weaver' s Addition' S.' 80 ft, " '24, Elm Street; Weaver`` Addition; Lots 26 and 28, Elm Street, Weaver's Addition. N. side of Lot 30,E1m Street, Weaver's Addition Sec. 2. That all of the above mentioned sidewalks shall be constructed of the material and in the width and manner spe- cified and required by the provisions of Ordinances No. 1038, 1971 and 1974 of the city of Salina, Kansas, which said,ordin ances are hereby made a part and incorporated in this ordinance. see. 3. The Committee on Sidewalks of the City Council shall as soon as practicable after the 12th day of June, 1918, cause any sidewalk herein mentioned to be constructed if the owner or owners liable for such construction shall fail, negl-et or refuse to so construct the same within the time herein pro- vided and shall report their proceedings, together with actual expenses thereof to the City Council. Sec. 4. Expense of construction of said sidewalks by said committee, in event they construct the same, shall be assessed against the real estate abutting thereon according to the front foot thereof and collected as other taxes against said real estate are collected.
