ORDINANCE NO. 2169.
(Published in the Salina Daily Union April 1918)
An ordinance requiring the payment of certain sums into the City
Treasury and providing for the certification to the County
. Clerk of Saline County, Kansas of certain sums not paid in
and to be assessed as taxes against certain land.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That the owner or owners of the following described
lots and tracts of land be and they are hereby required to pay in-
to the City Treasury of the city of Salina, Kansas, on or before
June 1st, 1918, the sums set opposite the land hereinafter describ-
ed for the payment of the amount assessed against the owners of such
tract on account of the opening of Putnam Avenue, in accordance with
the report of the appraisers heretofore filed in the office of the
City Clerk on the 7th day of January, 1918, and accepted and approv-
ed by the Mayor and Gouncil on the 11th day of February, 1918, as
follows, to -wit:

Sec. 2.
That unless said
sums are paid on or
before the
lst day of June, 1918, that the City Clerk shall certify the assess-
ments so made and in the amounts as aforesaid to the County Clerk
of Saline County, Kansas, at the same time and in the same manner
as other assessments are certified and the same shall be assessed
against the tracts of land as hereinbefore set forth and collected
ss other taxes against said land are collected.
Sec. 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
from and after its publication once in the official City paper.

I, Chas. E. Banker, City Clerk of the city of Salina,
Kansas, do heereby certify that the above and foregoing is a
true and correct copy of Ordinance No. 2169 passed by the
Council and approved by the Mayor of the city of Salina, Kan-
sas, April 5th, 1918; and a record of the vote on its final
adoption is found on page to 6 of Journal No. 9. Said ordin-
ance was published in the Salina Daily Union, April
1918.

fy the assessments so made and in the amounts as aforesaid to the
County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, at the same time and in the
same manner as other assessments are certified and the same shall
be assessed against the tracts of land as hereinbefore set foreh
and collected as other taxes against said land are collected.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be
in full force iron and after its publication once in the official
