2165 Sidewalk Improvements - Fifth Street1 1 1 1 ORDINANCE NO. 2165. (Published in the Salina Daily Union April 1918) An ordinance providing for the construction of certain sidewalks in the city of Salina, Kansas. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina: Section 1. That the owner or owners of the following describ- ed lots and tracts of land in the city of Salina, Kansas, be and they are hereby required to construct or cause to be constructed on or before the 10th day of May, 1918, a sidewalk in front of and adjacent to such tracts of land as follows: Lot 110, Fifth Street. tt 112, If tt IF 1269„ FF Ft 128, tf U ft 1 3 0 , FF tT 11 132, tt tt 134s ii 136 n it tt 138, ” it 1091 If 11 t. tt f " 113 , t.' if North Half, FF 117) ° u 121 It tt ri 123 It 125. t' 127, 129, FF Ft 131, 133 tt 135 ►'t ii ii 137 , ii u Sec. 2. That all of the above mentioned sidewalks shall be constructed of the material and in the width and manner specified and required by the provisions of the Ordinances No. 1038, 1971, 1974 and 2159 of the city of Salina, Kansas, which said ordinances are hereby incorporated in and made a part of this ordinance. Sec. 3. The Committee on sidewalks of the City Council shall as soon as practicable after the 10th day of May, 1918, cause any sidewalk herein mentioned to be constructed if the owner or owners liable for such construction shall fail, neglect or refuse to so construct the same within the time herein provided and shall report their proceedings, together with actual expense thereof to the City Council. Sec. 4. Expense of construction of said sidewalks by said committee, in event they construct the same, shall be assessed against the real estate abutting thereon according to the front foot thereof and collected as other taxes against said real estate are collected. Sec. 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its publication once in the official City paper. (SEAL) .Attest: Passed and approved, April 1st, 1918. Chas. E.
