2149 SalariesW e N 2 ORDINANCE N0. 2149 - (Published in the Salina Daily Union February An ordinance relating to salaries of certain officials and employ- ees of the City of Salina. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina: Section 1. That no team and wagon with driver shall be employed u by the Street Commissioner to work on the streets of the City of Sa- lina, at a wage in excess of $4.50 per day foe eight hours' work, and no laborer shall be employed at such work at a compensation ex - seeding $2.25 per day for eight hours' work, ecxept laborers clean- ing streets with broom, shovel and cart, who shall not be employed at a wage in excess of $2.00 per day for eight hours' work. Sec. 2. The Street Commissioner shall receive as sompensation for the duties and services rendered by him in such office the sum of 3.00 per day for each and every day actually employed by him in the discharge of his said duties, to be paid semi-monthly as other bills against said City are allowed and paid. Sec. 3. The Assistant Marshal of the City of Salina, shall receive for his servevices the sum of EightyDollars, (80.00) per month; and each regular policeman of the city of Salina shall receive for his services the sum of $75.00 per month, payable semi-monthly. Each Special Policeman of the City of Salina shall receive as pay for his services the sum of Two Dollars, +02.00) per day, in full compen- sation for all services. Sec. 4. That the City Clerk shall r edeive Eighty -Three and Thirty -Three and one-third (83.33.1/3) Dollars, per month, payable semi-monthly, which shall be full compensation for all services. Sec. 5. The Fire Chief shall receive a salary of One Hundred "Dollars, (100.00) per month, and the -Assistant Fire Chief shall re- 4 ceive Seventy -Five dollars, (75.00) per month, which shall be full compensation for all services: Firemen of the first-class shall re- ceive the sum of Seventy Dollars, (70.00) per month, and firemen of the second-class shall receive a salary of Sixty Dollars, (60.00) per month, which shall be full compensation for -all services, and payable semi-monthly as other bills against said City are allowed and paid.
