ORDINANU.E NO. 2143.

.An ordinance granting the Right of Way to the Chicago, Rock -
Island and Pacific Railroad Company to build a switch
track upon and across certain streets of the city of
Salina, Kansas.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That.the right of way be and the same is hereby
granted to the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad Company
to build, maintain and operate a switch track and to run its trains
engines and cars thereon upon and across Fifth Street in the City
of Salina, Kansas, a distance of / JS feet north of the present
main line track of said Company as the same now crosses Fifth
Street in said City.
Sec. 2. Said switch track to be -built and constructed in
accordance with the plans and specifications of the City Engineer
and the Street and Alley Committee relating to railroad crossings
on unpaved streets in said City.
Sec. 3. This ordinance when accepted, shall operate as a
contract between said Railroad Company and said City.
Sec. 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force from and after its publication once in the official City
paper.
