ORDINANCE NO. 1741.
An ordinance amending sub -sections 21 and 22 of Section 2 of Ordinance
No. 1688, and repealing such sub -sections of said section 2 so amended.
Be it ordained by the Mayor a nd Councilmen of the City f Salina.:.
Sect -ion 1. That sub -section twenty-one (21) of section two (2). of
Ordinance No. 1688, passed and approved November November 18, 19123, be and
the same is hereby amdmded to read as follows, viz:
21. NICKELODEONS. Rooms and halls used for nickelodeons, and for
moving picture show, including such vaudeville attractions as might be giv-
en as part of such moving picture show, $30.00 per annum; Provided, That
the price of admission charged for any one show or exhibition under this
sub -section shall not exced twenty cents; and provided further, that no
license shall be issued for less than one year.
Sec. 2. That sub -section twenty-two (22) of Section two (2) of Ord-
inance No. 1688, passed and approved November 18, 1912, be and the same is
hereby amended to read as follows, viz:
22. OPERA HOUSES. Opera houses, theaters, halls and other rooms
and buildings used for public entertainments for pay, not otherwise enum-
erated or specified in this ordinance, $50.00 per annum, and no license
shall be issued hereunder for less than one year.
Sec. 3. That sub -sections twenty-one (2M) and twenty-two (22) of
Section two (2) of Ordinance No. 16881, passed and approved November 18,
1912, be and each of such sub -sections are hereby repealed.
Sec. 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its publication once in the Salina Evening Journal.
