ORDINANCE N0. 2102
An ordinance levying and assessing special assessments on cer-
tain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina, Kanss
to pay the costs of curbing..,and guttering Seventh Street
from the north line of Elm street to the south line of
Pineā¢St rest and relating to -and providing for the colection
of such assessments.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That for the purpose of paying the costs of
curbing and guttering Seventh Street, in the City of Salina, Kan-
sas, from the north line of Elm Street to the south line of Pine
Street as.described in Ordinance No. 1991, that there is hereby
levied and assessed against the property liable therefor, the same
being the property abutting on such streets on either side thereof,
according to the appraised value thereof, for the purpose of such
improvements without regard to the buildings or improvements there-
on, such special assessments being based on the valuation of such
lots and pieces of ground heretofore made by three disinterested
appraisers appointed by the Mayor and Council for the purpose of
making such appraisement which appraisement is hereby referred to
and made a part of this ordinance The several amounts levied and
assessed against the lots and pieces of ground for the purpose afore-
said are hereby found and determined to be as follows:
Lot 6, Seventh Street, Presbyterian Church Park, between
Elm Street and rine Street. $53.16
Lot 7, Seventh Street, Presbyterian Church Park, between
Elm Street and Pine Street 46.16

Sec. 2., Such amounts so levied and assessed shall be due
and a payable from and after the publication of this ordinance.
The City Clerk of the City of Salina, shall cetrify to the County
Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, in the same manner and at the same
time as other taxes are certified for the year 1918, all of the
above special assessments which have not been paid within thirty
days after the publication of this ordinance, together with inter-
est on such amounts in the sum of four and one-half per cent per
annum, and such amounts sd certified shall be placed on the tax
roll and collected as other taxes are collected..
Sec. 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force from and after its publication once in the official City
paper.

cil and approved by the Mayor of the.city of Salina, Kansas, Novem-
ber 5th, 1917; and a record of the vote on its final adoption is
found on Page 4ll of Journal No. 9. Said ordinance was published
in the Salina Daily Union, November 1917. -
