An ordinance establishing grades on certain streets in the
City of Salina.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That a grade be and is hereby established on
Wilson Street, commencing at the intersection of Santa Fe Aven-
ue and Wilson Street at an elevation of one hundred seven and
eighty one -hundredths (107.80) feet; thence west by a uniform
grade three hundred fifty (350) feet to an elevation of one hun-
dred eighty and sixty one -hundredths (108.60) feet; thence west
by a uniform grade to Highland Avenue to an elevation of one
hundred eight and forty one -hundredths (108.40) feet.
That a grade be and is hereby established on Eleventh Street
from South Street to Morrison Avenue commencing at the inter-
section of South Street and Eleventh Street at an elevation of
one hundred three and fifty one -hundredths (103.50) feet; thence
south by a uniform grade four hundred (400) feet to an elevation
of one hundred four and seventh one -hundredths (104.70) feet;
thence south by a uniform grade one hundred (100) feet to an
, elevation of one hundred four and forty one -hundredths (104.40)
feet; thence south by a uniform grade to Morrison Avenue to an
. elevation of one hundred five (105) feet.
That a grade be and is hereby established on Twelfth
Street from Ash street to Bishop Street commencing at the inter-
section of Ash Street and Twelfth Street at an elevation of one
hundred one and eighty one -hundredths (101.80) feet; thence
north by a uniform grade to alley to an elevation of one hundred
two and forty -one -hundredths (102.40 ) feet; thence north by a
uniform grade to Park Street to an elevation of one hundred one
and ninety one -hundredths (101.90) feet; thence north by a uni-
form grade two hundred (200) feet to an elevation of one hundred
two and twenty one -hundredths (102.20) feet; thence north by a
uniform grade to Elm Street to an elevation of one hundred one
and 90 one -hundredths (101.90) feet; thence north by a uniform
grade to alley -to an elevation of one hundred and thrity one -
hundredths (100.30) feet; thence north by a uniform grade to
Bishop Street to an elevation of one hundrdd one and twenty
one -hundredths (101.20) feet.

That a grade be and is hereby established on Santa Fe
Avenue from south side of Union Pacific Right of way to Otis
Avenue, commencing at the Union Pacific Railway at an elega-
tion of ninety-nine and thirteen one -hundredths (99.13) feet;
thence by a uniform grade to Decatur Avenue to an elevation of
ninety-six and eighteen one -hundredths (96.18) feet; thence
north by a uniform grade one hundred twenty five (125) feet
to an elevation of ninety-six and forty-eight one -hundredths
(96.48) feet; thence to Grand Avenue by a uniform grade at an
elevation of ninety -sig and eight one -hundredths (96.08) feet;
thence north by a uniform grade to alley to an elevation of
ninety six and twenty-eight one -hundredths (96.28) feet; thence
by a uniform grade to Woodland Avenue to an elevation of nine-
ty-five and fourteen one -hundredths. (95.14) feet; thence north
by a uniform grade one hundred feet (100) to an elevation of

That a grade be.and.is hereby established on Otis Avenue,
from Santa Fe .Avenue to Ninth Street, commencing at Santa Fe
Avenue at an elevation of ninety-four and seventeen one hun-
dredths (94.17) feet; thence by a uniform grade to Seventh
Street to an elevation of ninety-five and one one-hundredth
(95:01) feet; thence -by a uniform grade to Ninth Street to an
elevation of ninety-six and ninety-three one -hundredths (96.93)
feet.
That a grade be and is hereby established on Ninth Street
from Union Pacific Right of way.to Otis Avenue, commencing at
Union Pacific Railway At an_ elevation of one hundred three
(103) feet; thenve.by a uniform grade to Lincoln Avenue to an
elevation of one hundred and fifty-nine one -hundredths (100.59)
feet; thence by a uniform grade to Decatur Avenue to an ele-
vation of ninety-nine and eighty-four one -hundredths (99.84)

from Prescott Avenue to Crawford Street commencing at the inter-
section of Prescott Avenue and Crawford Street at an elevation
of one hundred four and ninety -one -hundredths (104.90) feet;
thence south by a uniform grade eight hundred ninety-seven (897)
feet to an elevation of one hundred six and ten one -hundredths
(106.10) feet; thence south by a uniform grade two hundred (200 )
feet to Crawford Street to an elevation of one hundred five anf
fifty one -hundredths (105.50) feet..

That a grade be and is hereby established on College Aven-
ue from Park .Street to Bishop Street commencing•at the intersec-
tion of Park Street and College Avenue at an elevation of nine-
ty-seven and eighty one -hundredths (97.80) feet; thence north by
a uniform grade to Elm Street to an elevation of ninety-six and
eighty one -hundredths (96.80) feet; thence north by a uniform
grade to Bishop Street tp an elevation of ninety-seven and eighty

Street from Thirteenth Street to College Avenue commencing at the
intersection of Thirteenth Street and Bishop Street at an ele-
vation of ninety-nine and ten one -hundredths (99.10) feet; thence
west by a uniform grade two hundred twenty-five (225) feet to
an elevation of ninety-seven and ninety one -hundredths (97.90)
feet; thence west by a uniform grade to Phillips Street to an
elevation of ninety-seven and sixty one -hundredths (97.60) feet;
thence west by a uniform grade to alley to an elevation of
ninety-seven and ten one -hundredths (97.10) feet ; thence west
by a uniform grade to College Avenue to an elevation of nine-

That a grade be and is hereby established on Bond Street
from Santa Fe Avenue to Highland Avenue commencing at the in-
tersection of Santa Fe Avenue and Bond Street at an elevation
of one hundred seven (107) feet; thence west by a uniform grade
to Highland Avenue to an elevation of one hundred eight (108)
feet.
That a grade be and is hereby established on Prescott
Avenue from Ninth Street to Eleventh Street commencing at the
intersection of Ninth Street and Prescott Avenue at an eleva-
tion of one hundred six (106) feet; thence west by a uniform
grade eighty (80) feet to an elevation of one hundred six -and'
twenty one -hundredths (106.20) feet; thence west by a uniform
grade -to Tenth Street to an elevation of one hundred five and
fifty one -hundredths (105.50) feet; thence west by a uniform
grade -to Eleventh Street to an elevation of one hundred six
and twenty one -hundredths (106.20) feet.
That a grade be and is hereby established on Tenth Street
from Prescott Avenue to Crawford Street commencing at the in-
tersection of 'Tenth Street and Prescott Avenue at an elevation
of one hundred five and fifty one -hundredths (105.50) feet;
thence by a uniform grade to Charles Street to an elevation of
one hundred six and eighty one -hundredths (106.80) feet; thence
south bya uniform grade four hundred (400) feet to an elevation
of one hundred seven and ninety one -hundredths (107.90) feet;
thence south by a uniform grade one hundred (100). feet to Craw-
ford Street to an elevation of one hundred seven and sixty one -
hundredths (107.60) feet.

Sec..2. All elevations mentioned in Section One (1) of
this ordinance are referred to the "City Bench Mark", as estab-
lished by ordinance.
Sec. 3. The grade line as hereby established shall be
for the center line or crown of the street and for the top of
the curb stones.
Sec. 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its publication once in the official city paper.
