ORDINANCE _NO _20.99_ "

An ordinance providing for the construction of certain sidewalks
in the city of Salina, Kansas.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That'the owner or owners of the following
desebibed lots and tracts of land, in the city of Salina, Kan-
sas, be and they are hereby required to construct or cause to
be -constructed -on or before the 20th day of November, 1917,
a sidewalk in front of and adjacent to such lots hereinafter
described as follows, to -wit:
Lots" 2-4-6-azd 24,' on Minneapolis Ave'. Kansas Wesleyan
University Addition,
Lots 1 and 2, Block 5; Pacific Addition,
Lots 1 and 2; Block 61 Pacific Addition,
Lots 1 aril 2, Block 7; Pacific Addition,
Lots 1 and -2, Block 8, Pacific Addition,
East side of Lot 2, Block 6, Pacific Addition,
Lots 10=12-14-16-18 and 20, Block 6, Pacific"Addition -
-Lots- 2-4'6-8:-10 12 '14"-16-18=20 and- 30, "Blk. 14, Pacific Add.
Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Woodland Addition.,-
Lots
ddition,Lots land 2, Block 4, Woodland Addition,
Sec, 2. That all of the above mentioned sidewalks shall
be constructed of the material and in the width andmanner spe-
cified and required by the provisions of ordinances numbered
1038, 1971 and 1974 of the City of Salina, Kansas, which said
ordinances are hereby incorporated in and made a part of this
ordinanee.-

Sec. 3. The committee on sidewalks of the city council
shall as soon as practicable after the 20th day od November,
1917, cause any sidewalk herein mentioned to be constructed if
the owner or owners liable for such construction shall fail,
neglect or refuse to so construct same within the time herein
provided and shall report their proceedings together with the
length and dimensions so constructed by said committee together
with the actual expense thereof, to the City Council.
Sec. 4. Expense of construction of said sidewalks by
said committee, in event they construct the same,.shall be ass-
essed against the real estate abutting thereon according to
front foot thereof and collected as other taxes against said
real estate are collected.
Sec. 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
and effect from and after its publication once in the Salina
Daily Union.
