An ordinance providing for the construction of certain sidewalks
in the City of Salina, Knasas .
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That the owner or owners of the following describ-
ed lots and tracts of land, in the City of Salina, Kansas, be and
they are hereby required to construct on or before the 5th day of
October, 1917s a sidewalk in front of and adjacent to such lots
hereinafter described, as follows, to -wit:
Lots 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11, on Twelfth Street, Weaver's
Addition;
Lot 7 on Elm Street, Weaver's Addition,
Lots 2-4-6-8-10-12-14-16 on Twelfth Street, Weaver's Second
Addition;
Lot 36, on Tenth Street, Bishop's Addition,
,Lot- 37,, on Eleventh Street, Bishop's Addition,
Lots 1-2-3-4-5-6, on Elm Street, Weaver's Addition,
Lots 11-12-13-14-15-16-17-18-19-20ni Block 6, Calkin's
Addition,
Lots.2-4-6-8-, Block 12, Riverside Park Addition,
Lots 29-30, Block 7, Riverside Park Addition,
.Lot 78 on Fourth Street,
Lots 77-79-81-83-85-87-89-91-93-99 on Fifth Street,
North 1/2 of Lot 101 on Fifth Street,
Lots 88 -90 -92 -on Fifth Street,
North 1/2 of Lot 94 on Fifth Street,
South 1/2 of Lot 96 on Fifth Street,
Lots 98-100-102 on Fifth Street,
All lots on west side of Seventh Street, between Grand Avenue
and Decatur Avenue;
All lots on west side .of Columbia Avenue from Ash Street,
south to present sidewalk.
Sec. 2. That all of the above mentioned sidewalks shall be
constructed of the material and, in the width and manner specified
and required by the provisions of Ordinances numbered 1038, 1971
and 1974 of the city of Salina, Kansas, which said ordinances are

hereby incorporated and made a part of this ordinance.
Sec. 3. The committee on sidewalks of the City Council
shall as soon as practicable after the 5th day of October, 1917,
cause any sidewalks herein mentioned to be constructed if the own-
er or owners liable for such construction shall fail, neglect or
refuse to so construct the same within the time herein `provided
and shall report their proceedings together with the length and
dimensions so constructed by said committee together with the
actual expense thereof, to the City Council.
Sec. 4. Expense of construction of said sidewalks by said
committee, in event they construct the same, shall be assessed
against the real estate abutting thereon according to the front
foot thereof and collected as other.taxes against said real est-
ate are collected.
Sec. 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and from and after its publication once in the Salina Daily
Union.
