2079 Levy General Revenue Tax380 ORDINANCE NO. 2079 (n3blished in _the Salina Daily_ Union- August ;.z �z 1917) An ordinance making a levy of taxes for general revenue and other purposes in the city of Salina, Kansas, for the year 1917. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina: Section 1. That the sum of Five and five -tenths mills (.0055) on the dollar be and the same is hereby levied on all real, personal and mixed ,property of whatsoever kind or nature, within the city of Salina, Kansas, for the year 1917 for the pur- poses hereinafter set forth and apportioned and divided as fol- lows: FQr General Revenue, three mills (.003) on the dollar. For a- sinking fund, four tenths of a mill ( .0004) on the dollar. For Ipaying interest of outstanding bonds, four -tenths of a mill (.0004) on the dollar. For the support of a free public library, two-tenths (.0062) of a mill on the dollar. For the annual installments of"qLnd.interest on bonds issued during the years 1907-x:909=1910=1911=1912-1913-1915-1916-1917, to pay for'the paving and improving of the squares and areas of streets, one and one-tenth mills (.0011) on the dollar. For a light fund, one-tenth of a mill (0001) on the dollar. For Water Fund one-tenth of a mill (.0001) on the .dollar. For a park' continent fund, two-tenths of a mill ( .0002) on the dollar. Sec. 2. That one and five -tenths mills on the dollar (.0015) be and the same is hereby levied on all real estate in the city of Salina, Kansas,- for the year 1917 for the purpose of paying the annual installments of and the interest on the outstanding sewer bonds of the City, issued on the dates of July 1st, 1908; January 1st, 1909; March lst, 1910; July lst, 1909; September lst, 1911; April 1st, 1913; June lst, 1914; December lst, 1914; April lst, 1915; June 1st, 1916; and January lst, 1917. Sec. 3. The valuation of the property upon which the foregohg taxes are levied and assessed, is in all cases taken from the ass- essment rolls of the present year in the office of the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, and it shall be the duty of the City Clerk immediately after the passage of this ordinance, and before August 25th; 1917, to transmit a duly certified copy of the same to the County Clerk of Saline County., -Kansas., so that the levy may be placed on the tax roll and the taxes collected according to law. 2bPC;H I-, 1 Sec. 4.
