ORDINANCE N4. 2072
(Published in the Salina Dail union duly 1917)
.An ordinance providing for the construction of certain sidewalks in
the city of Salina, Kansas.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That the owner or owners of the following described
lots and tracts of land in the city of Salina, Kansas, be and they
are hereby required to construct or cause to be constructed on or
before the 20th day of August, 1917, a sidewalk in front of and -
adjacent to such lots and tracts of land as follows:
Lot 13 on Ash Street, University Addition
Lot 14, Block 1, Oakdale Addition,
East 196 feet of Block 1., Oakdale Addition,
South 50 feet Lot. 1, Santa Fe Ave., Holland's Addition,
Lots 150 and 152 Santa Fe Avenue,
Lots 11-12-13-14-15-16-17-18, Block 31, Riverview Addition,
Lots 1-2-3- Block 1, Fruitland Addition,
Lots 1-3-5-7-9-11-13-15-17-19, Blk. 6, 'Pacific Addition,
Lots 1-3-5-7-9-11-13-15-17, Blk. 14, Pacific.Addition,
Lots 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10, Block 12, Calkins Addition,
Lots 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10, Block 11, Calkins Addition,

Sec. 2. That all of the above mentioned sidewalks shall be
constructed of the material and in the width and manner specified
and required by the provisions of Ordinances numbered 1038, 1971
and 1974 of the city of Salina, Kansas, which said ordinances are
hereby incorporated in and made a part of this ordinance.
Seca The committee on sidewalks of the City Council shall as
soon as practicalbe after the 20th day of August, 19171, cause any
sidewalk herein mentioned to be constructed if the owner or owners
liable for such construction shall -fail., neglect or refuse to so con-
struct same within the time herein provided and shall report their
proceedings together with the actual expense thereof, to the City
Council.
See. 4. Expense of construction of said sidewalks by said com-
mittee, in event they construct the same, shall be assessed against
the real estate abutting thereon according to the front foot thereof
and collected as other taxes against said real estate are collected.

Sec. 5: This ordinance shall take effect and be in full fbme
from and after its publication once in the Salina Daily Union.
