ORDINANCE N0 2069.
Salina Daily Union July / CI
An ordinance providing for the construction of certain sidewalks in
the city of Salina, Kansas.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That the owner or owners of the following described
lots and tracts of land in' the city of Salina, Kansas be and they
are hereby required to construct or cause to be constructed on or
before the 16th day of August, 1917, a sidewalk on the east side of
and adjacent to such lots as hereinafter described as follows, to -wit:
Lots 1 and 6 in the County Park; that tract or lot of land
known as the County Park in the city of Salina, Kansas.
Seca 2 That all of the above mentioned sidewalks shall be
constructed of the material and in the width and manner specified
and required by the provisions of Ordinances numbered 1038, 1971
and 1974 of the city of Salina, Kansas, which said ordinances are
hereby incorporated in and made a part of this ordinance.
Sec. 3. That committee on sidewalks of the City Council shall
as soon as practicable after the 16th day of august, 1917, cause
any sidewalk herein mentioned to be constructed if the owner or own-
ers liable for such construction shall fail, neglect or refuse to so
construct same within the time herein provided and shall report their
proceedings together with the length and dimensions so constructed
by said committee together with the actual expense thereof, to the
City Council.
Sec. 4 Expense of construction of said sidewalks by said
committee, in event they construct the same, shall be assessed against
the real estate abutting thereon according to front foot thereof and
collected as other taxes against said real. estate are collected.
Sec. 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
and effect from and after its publication once in the official City
paper.
