ORDINANCE NO. 2062.

An ordinance providing for the construction of certain sidewalks
in the city of Salina, Kapsa.s.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the city of Salina:
Sect ion 1. That the owner or owners of the following
described lots and tracts of land in the city of Salina, Kansas,
be and they are hereby required to construct or.cause to be

constructed on or before the 2nd day of August, 19172 sidewalks
in front of and adjacent to such lots as hereinafter described,
to -wit:
Lot 166 on Santa Fe Avenue.

Lot 168 on Santa Fe Avenue.
Lot 71 on Santa Fe Avenue .
Lot 74 on Santa Fe Avenue.
khat part of Lot 30 on Park Street, Weaver's Addition
to the city of Salina, west to the walk across the
Missouri Pacific Tracks.
That part of Lot 23, Plat G. on the north side of Ash
Street, from the bridge east to the present walk.
Sec. 2. That all of the above mentioned sidewalks shall
be consgructed of the material and in the width and manner speci-
fled and required by the provisions of Ordinances numbered 1038,
1971 and 1974 of the city of Salina, Kansas, which said ordin-
ances are hereby incorporated in and made a part of this ordin-
ance.
Sec. 3. The committee on sidewalks of the City Council
shall as soon as practicable after the 2nd day of August, 1917,
cause any sidewalk herein mentioned to be constructed if the
owner or owners liable for such construcrion shall fail, neglect
or refuse to so construct same within the time herein provided
and shall report their proceedings together with the length and
dimensions so constructed by said committee together with the
actual expense thereof, to the City Council.
Sec. 4. Expense of construction of said sidewlaks by said
committee, in event they construct the same, shall be assessed
against the real estate abutting thereon according to the front
foot thereof and collected as other taxes against said real estate
are collected.

Sec. 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after its publication once in the Salina
Daily Uniop..
