An ordinance prpvoding for the repairing of certain sidewalks
in the city of Salina, Kansas.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina
Section 1. That the owner or owners of the following
described lots or tracts of land in the city of Salina, Kansas,
be and they are hereby required to repair or cause to be repaired
on or before the second day of August, 1917, the sidewalk now
constructed in front of and adjacent to such lots hereinafter
described as follows, to -wit:
;Lot 14 and north half of Lot 16 in Block twos;
Bond's Addition
Lot 18, Block two, Bond's Addition,
North side of Block 1, on Ninth Street, Prescott's
Addition.
North side of Block 1, on Seventh Street, Holland's
Add it ion.
Lots 183-185-187 on Santa Fe Avenue.
Lot. 173 on Santa Fe -avenue.
Lots 53-55-56-57-58 on Fifth Street.
Lot 75 on Santa Fe Avenue.
North side of Lot 50, on Second Street.
North side of Lot 73 on Third Street.
Sec. 2, kll of the above mentioned walk shall be repaired
in a good and workmanlike rpamner so as to make a smooth, even
surface and shall be repaired of the materials with which the walk
is now constructed.
Sec. 3. The committee on sidewalks of the City Council
shall as soonas practicable after the 2nd day of August, 1917,
cause any sidewalk herein mentioned to be repaired as herein
provided if the owner or owners of the property liable for such
repair shall fail, neglect or refuse to so repair any such walk
and the said committee shall report their proceedings together
with the length and dimesnions of the walk so repaired by said
committee together with the nature of the repairs made and
the actual expense thereof, to the City Council.
See. 4. The expense of the repairs of said walk in the
event said committee shall be required to cause them to be re-
paired shall be assessed against the real estate abutting there-
on according to the front foot thereof, and collected the same
as other taxes againstsaid real estate.

See. 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force from and after its publication once in the Salina :Daily
Union.
