1999 Improve Bond StreetORDINANCE NO. 1999

An ordinance vacating a part of Bond Street, in the City of Salina,
between Front and Fourth Street, and a ten foot strip of
ground used as an alley or driveway lying east of the east
line of Fourth Street between said Bond Street and Wilson
Street.
WHEREAS, the owner of the real estate formerly platted as
Blocks. 9, 10 and 11 of Bond's Addition to the City of Salina, gave
and dedicated a strip of ground forty feet in width off the north
end of said blocks 9, 10 and 11, between Front Street and Fourth
Street, for and as a part of Bond Street, . in the City of Salina,
thus making said Bond Street �8Q> feet in width between said streets
aforesaid; and at the same time said owner gave and dedicated for
an alley on the west side of said Block 9 aforesaid, a strip of ground
10.6 feet in width between said Bond Street and Filson Street ; and,
WHEREAS, said Blocks 9, 10 .and 11 of said Bond's Addition
were, in 1897, by legislative enactment, vacated; and,
WHEREAS, the owner of said real estate above described, as
having been vacated, as aforesaid, . has platted the same into streets,
lots and blocks under the name of "College View", and that part of
said Bond Street, hereinafter described and vacated, and the ten
foot strip of ground hereinafter described and vacated, are neces-
sary to complete said "College View" addition, leaving said Bond
Street 60 feet in width and said Fourth Street, including the
railroad right-of-way on said street 100.6 feet wide; therefore,
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That the south twenty (20) feet of Bond Street,
in the City .of .Salina, Kansas, between a point 100.6 feet east of
the west line of Fourth Street and the west line of Front Street,
be and the same is hereby vacated and discontinued as a part of said
Bond Street.
Sec. 2. That the ten (10) foot strip of ground lying east of
a line run north and south 100.6 feet east of the west line of
Fourth Street, between the south line of said Bond Street as defined
by Section One (1) hereof and the north line of Milson Street, in
the City of Salina, Kansas, be and the same is hereby vacated and
discontinued as an alley or highway in said City.
Sec. 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in fovoe from
and, after its publication once in The Salina Daily Union.
