An ordinance providing for the condemnation and appropriation of
certa iri lots and pieces of ground in the city of Salina,
Kansas, hereinafter described, for the purpose of opening,
widening and extending Riverside Drive in said City; from
the southwest corner of Lot Twenty Three (23) in Block One
(1) Riverside Park Addition, thence northeasterly following
the course of Smoky_ Hill River to Ohio Street.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina
Section 1. That it is necessary and hereby ordered that the
following described lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina,
Kansas, be condemned and appropriated for the purpose of opening,
widening and extending Riverside Drive in said City from the south-
west corner of Lot Twenty -Three (23) Block One (1) Riverside Park
Addition to the City of Salina, thence in a northeasterly direction
along the course of the Smoky Hill River to Ohio Street:
Lots Twenty Three (23), Twenty -Five (25), Twenty -Seven (27),
Twenty Nine (29) Thirty (30), Thirty -One (31) and Thirty Two (32),
in Block One (1);
Lots Thirty -Three (33) and Thirty -Five (35) in Block Two (2) ;
The east sixty-five (65) feet of Lots One (1), Two (2)and
Three (3) in Block Five (5) and all that part of Reserve No.
Three
(3),, described by metes and bounds as follows, to -wit:
All that part of Reserve No. Three (3) lying north and east of
a line commencing at the northeast corner of Lot Three (3), Block
Five (5)2 Riverside Park Addition; thence west sixty-five (65) feet;
thence in a northwesterly direction to a point on the west line of
said Reserve Two Hundred Sixty -Five (265) feet, north of Elm
St reet .
All in Riverside Park Addition to the city of Salina, Kansas.
Sec. 2. The Mayor and Council shall appoint three disinter-
ested appraisers and householders, who shall assess and appraise the
above described property and all damages resulting from the appropri-
ation of such property and shall make due report to the Mayor and
Council of their proceedings.

from and after its publication once in The Salina Daily Union.
