An ordinance making an approrpriation for the payment of -certain
claims .
ke it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That the sum of Four Thousand Nine Hundred Forty-
three and 63100 Dollars, (4,943.63), be and the same is hereby
appropriated out of the various departments of the General Fund
in the hands of the City Treasurer for the payment of the follow-
ing claims:

See. 2. That orders ' be drawn on the City Treasurer for
the payment of the claims mentioned in Section One ( 1) hereof.
Sec. 3. That the sum of Five Hundred Eighty -Seven and
88/100 Dollars, ($587.88) be and:the same is hereby appropriated
out of any funds in the hands of the City Treasurer for the payment
of the following claims:

See. 4.. That scrip for the amounts specified in Section
Three (3) of this ordinance be drawn on the City Treasurer for
the payment of such claims, said scrip to be made payable fifteen
(15) months from date and bearing no interest.
Sec. 5 That the sum of Three Thousand Six Hundred Dollars
($3,600.00) be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the Pav-
Ing Fund in the hands of the City -Treasurer for the . payment of the
following claims:
To L. H. Lyon, Curb & Gutter on University Place ------$1,600.00
To L. H. Lyon, " " " " 12th, Walnut to South 2.Q,00.00
Total --------- =-43p,600,00
See. 6. That scrip for the amounts specified in Section
Five (5) of this ordinance be drawn on the City Treasurer for the
payment of such claims. Said scrip to be -made payable on or beofore
90 days from date and bearing six per cent (6%) interest.
Sec 7. That the sum of Two Hundred Fifty -One and 80100
Dollars, be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the Sewer
Fund in the hands of the City Treasurer for the payment of the
following claim:
To C • Knudsen & L. C • Ahart, Constructing sewers on 12th
Street ----------=------- 251.80
See. 8. That scrip for the amount specified - in Section
Seven (7) of this ordinance be drawn on the City Treasurer for the
payment of such claim. Said scrip to be made payable on or before
90 days from date and bearing six per cent (6%) interest.
Sec. 9. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its adoption.
