(Published in the Salina Daily Union, June 1962 An ordinance regulating the erection and maintenance of Bill- �oards within the City of Salina and fixing a penalty for the violation hereof. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina: Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, company or corporation to erect or maintain any bill board within the City of Salina without first having obtained from the Fire Chief of the City a permit to so erect and maintain such billboard, and such permit shall not be given before there has been pre- sented to said Fire Chief a petition signed by at least ninety (90) per cent of the resident property owners, owning property within the block in whcih such billboard is to be erected or main- tained. Sec. 2. Any person, company or corporation which shall erect or maintain any bill board in the City of Salina without first having obtained the permit provided for in Section One, hereof, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon convic- tion thereof shall be fined in any sum not more than Twenty -Five Dollars, ($25.00) or less than Five Dollars, ($5.00), and every day such billboard shall be maintained without having such per- mit shall be a separate and distinct offence and misdemeanor within the terms of this ordinance. Sec. 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after being published in the Salina Daily Union. Passed and approved June 19th, 1916. (SEAL) Attest: r Chas. E. Banker, City Clerk. (Published in the Salina Dailv Union Ju 1963 - - - — - An ordinance revoking a certain permit issued by the City of Salina, through it's Mayor to the Salina Street Railway Company to construct a track on Bishop Street in said City from Thirteenth (13th) Street, east about One Hundred and Fifty (150) Feet. Such permit being dated September 28th, 1915. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Sali n a: Section 1. The permit, granted to the Salina Street Railway Company by the City of Salina, Kansas, through it's Mayor, to build and construct a Street Car Tfack on Bishop Street in said City from the north end of the present tracks of said Salina Street Railway Company on Thirteenth (13th) Street, east on said Bishop Street about One Hundred and Fifty (150) feet, such permit being dated September 28th, 19152 is hereby revoked.
