An ordinance providing for the appropriation and condemnation of cer-
taro--real estate- in -the city of Salina, Kansas, for the purpose
of opening, widening and extending Bishop Street in said City
between 'Thirteenth Street and Twelfth Street; providing for the
appointment of appraisers and prescribing their duties.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the city of Salina:
Section 1. It is hereby declared necessary to condemn and
appropriate for public use, for the purpose of opening, widening
and extending Bishop Street in Salina between Thirteenth Street and
'twelfth Street all the following described real property, to -wit:
All that ' portion of the present Missouri Pacific Railwa Com-
pariy- right -of -way between -Twelfth 'Xl2th) and Thirteenth {13th Street,
lying south of a line thirty-three (33) feet south of and parallel
to the center line of the main track of the said Missouri Pacific
Railway Company as now located.
Sec. 2. The Council shall by ordinance appoint three dis-
interested householders of the city who shall qualify and proceed
to give notices and assess the damage caused by the condemnation and
app ropriat ion of said above described real property for the purpose
aforesaid, and said appraisers or householdersshall report their
proceedings to the mayor and council in all things as provided by
law, and shall .upon completion of their report 'file the same with
the city clerk.
Sec. 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its publication once in the Salina Evening Journal.
