An ordinance authorizing the Mayor and Clerk of the City �of Salina,
to execute a deed, on behalf of the city of Salina, Kansas,
conveying to the Missouri Pacific Railway Company an undivid-
ed one-half interest in and to the following described real
property; and a deed on behalf of the city of Salina., Kansas,
conveying to The Chicago, Rock -Island & Pacific Railway Com-
pany an undivided.one-half interest in and to the following
described real property.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That the Mayor of the city of Salina, Kansas, is
hereby authorized to execute a quit claim deed on behalf of such
City, and the City Clerk of said City is hereby authorized to at-
test
t-test and attach the seal of said City to such deed, conveying to
the Missouri Pacific Railway Company, its successors and assigns,
an undivided one-half interest in and to the real property describ-
ed in Section Three hereof.
Seca 2. That the Mayor of the city of Salina, Kansas, is
hereby authorized to execute a deed on behalf of such City, and the
City Clerk of said City is hereby authorized to attest and attach
the seal of said City to such deed, conveying to the Chicago, Rock -
Island & Pacific Railway Company, its successors and assigns, an
undivided one-half interest in and to the real property described
in Section Three hereof.
Sec. 3. That the deeds mentioned in Sections One and Two
hereof shall convey to the grantees mentioned the following describ-
ed property, to -wit:
Beginning at the intersection of the east line of Fourteenth
(Phillips) .Street with the former southeasterly right-of-way line
of The Aitchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway Company, which said
former right-of-way line is parallel with and thirty-five (35)
feet southeasterly from, when measured at right angles to the
center line of original main track of The Atchison,, Topeka & Santa
Fe Railway Company-; thence northeasterly, along said former ri ht -
of -way line, three hundred thirty-four and three -tenths (334.35
feet, more or less, to a point in the west line of Thirteenth Street;
thence south, along the said west line of Thirteenth Street, three
and five -tenths (3.5) feet, more or less, to a point thirty-eight
(38) feet southeasterly from, when measured at right angles to
the center line of main track of The Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe
Railway Company, as now located; thence southwesterly, along a line
parallel with and thirty-eight (38) feet southeasterly from the
center line of said located main track three hundred thirty-four
and eight -tenths (334.8) feet, more or less, to a point in the
east line of Fourteenth (13hillips) Street; thence north, along
the said east line of Fourteenth (Phillips) Street, six and nine -
tenths (6.9) feet, more or less, to apoint of beginning, containing
an area . of One Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty -Eight (1,938) square
feet, more or less, together with the appurtenances thereto be-
longing, and all the estate, title and interest of said City
therein.
Sec. 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its publication once in the Salina Evening Journal.
