An Ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of certain
claims.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Sect ion 1. That the sum of Four Thousand Five Hundred Forty-
nine and 63100 Dollars, (4,549.63), be and the same is he ap-
propriated out of the General Fund in the hands of the City Treasur-
er for the payment of the following claims:

Sec. 2. That orders be drawn on the City Treasurer for the

,payment of the claims mentioned in Section One (1) hereof.
See. 3. That the sum of Six Hundred Seventy -One and 86/100
Dollars, (671.86) be and the same is hereby appropriated out of
'the Paving Fund in the hands of the City Treasurer for the payment
of the following claims:
To Watts & Amerman, Paving alley between Santa Fe &
Fifth, (North of Ash St.) ......$ 662.86
To I. H- Forret'.,. Salary as. Paving Inspector 9,,00
T otal .........$ 671.86
Seca 4. That scrip. for the amounts specified in Section
Three (3) of this ordinance be drawn on the City Treasurer for the
payment of such claims. Said scrip to be made payable on the
first amount set out above on or before thirty days from date and
bearing .six per cent interest; and for the last amount said scrip
shall be made payable on demand and bearing no interest.
gee. 5. That the sum of Two Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-
Qne and 37/100 Dollars, ($2,971.37) be and the same is hereby
appropriated out of the sewer Fund in the hands of the City Treas-
urer for the payment of the following claim:
to Snyder & Ahart, For constructing sewers .........$2971.37
Sec. 6. That scrip for the amount specified in Section Five
(5) of this ordinance be drawn on the City Treasurer for the payment
of such claim. Said scrip to be made payable on or before sixty
days from date and bearing six per cent interest.
Sec. 7. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its adoption.

of the vote on its final adoption is found on Page Y,?" of Jour-
nal No. 8.
