An ordinance defining a certain misdemeanor and fixing a penalty for
the violation hereof.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
SECTION 1. It is hereby declared to be a nuisance for any
person or persons to have or conduct or assist in having or conduct-
ing a dance on the Sabbath day, commonly called Sunday, in the City
of Salina.
SECTION 2. Any person found or found conducting or having
or assisting in conducting or having a dance on the Sabbath day shall,
upon conviction thereof in the police court, be fined in any sum not
less than five nor more than fifty dollars.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its publication once in the Salina Evening Journal.'
