RESOLUTION NUMBER 827
A RESOLUTION relating to the payment to The Firemen's Relief Association of
Salina, Kansas, of the cash surrender value of certain life in-
surance policies.
WHEREAS, certain life insurance policies heretofore issued by United Life
In,urance Company of Kansas, which since their issuance have been taken
over by The Franklin Life Insurance Company of Springfield, Illinois,
were in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 4599 of the City
of Salina, and assigned. to The Firemen's Relief Association of Salina,
Kansas, by assignments as provided for and in accordance with the terms
set forth in said ordinance, and
WHEMS, certain of the firemen insured by said policies have left the
employ of the City of Salina Fire Department or have been retired from
said Fire Department, and the cash surrender values of the policies cover-
ing such firemen are now due and payable to The Firemen's Relief Association
of Salina, Kansas, in accordance with t he terns of said assignments, said
firemen having elected not to pay to the Firemen's Relief Association the
cash or loan value of such policies, and to carry on said policies for their
own benefit, NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
That the following numbered policies issued by United Life Insurance
Company of Kansas to the firemen whose names are set forth following such

be surrendered to The Franklin Life Insurance Company, of Springfield, Illinois,'',
upon the payment by said The Franklin Life Insurance Company to The Firemen's
Relief Association of Salina, Kansas, of the dash surrender values of said
policies as provided for therein, and that Ed Morgenstern, Mayor of the City
of Salina, Kansas, and Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of said city,
be and he is hereby authorized to act for and on behalf of the City of Salina
and The Firements Relief Association of Salina, Kansas, in executing any
release that may be required by said company in connection with the surrender
of such policies.
