A RESOLUTION authorizing the conveyance of certain real estate to
Kansas Wesleyan University.
WHEREAS, by warranty deed dated September 21, 1938, the Board of Trustees
of Kansas Wesleyan University, a corporation, conveyed to the City
of Salina, Kansas, certain real estate described thereon, which deed
was accepted by the City of Salina and duly recorded in the office
of the Register of Deeds of Saline County, Kansas, in Book 115 of Deeds,
Page 296, which deed was given for the purposes and subject to the
conditions set forth thereon, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, deem -ed
it to be for the best interest of the City of Salina, that real
estate be reoonveyed to Kansas Wesleyan University, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
That the following described real estate in the City of Salina in
Saline County, Kansas, described as follows:
Lots on Claflin Avenue
Also Lots 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12-13-14-15-16-17-18-19-20
on Russell Avenue
Also Lots 2-4-6-8-10-12-14-16-18-20 on Cloud Avenue
All in the addition to the Grounds of the Kansas Wesleyan University, Salina,
Kansas, be reconveyed to Kansas Wesleyan University, & corporation of
Saline County, Kansas, and that the Mayor and City Clerk of said City be and
they are hereby authorized and directed to execute, acknowledge and deliver
to Kansas Wesleyan University a quit claim deed to the premises above
described.
