ORDINANCE NUMBER 09-10522
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2, SUBSECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE
NUMBER 81-8888 REGARDING SIGNAGE RESTRICTIONS APPLICABLE TO LOT ONE
(1), BLOCK ONE (1) OF THE CENTRAL MALL SUBDIVSION; REPEALING EXISTING
SECTION 2, SUBSECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE NUMBER 81-8888; AND REPEALING
ORDINANCE NUMBER 07-10370.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 2, Subsection 3 of Ordinance Number 81-8888 regarding signage
restrictions applicable to Lot 1, Block 1 in the Central Mall Planned Development District is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"3. Signage on Lot One (1), Block One (1) of the Central Mall Subdivision shall be
limited to two (2) freestanding pylon signs with a maximum sign height of thirty
(30) feet at the center (Saturn Avenue) Ninth Street entrance to the mall and forty
(40) feet at the south Ninth Street entrance to the mall plus wall signs in accordance
with the C-3 district sign regulations. A maximum of six (6) wall signs may be
placed on the mall structure for those businesses that do not have an exterior public
entrance.
Signage on Tracts Number Two (2) through Twelve (12) (the outlots) shall be
limited to ground signs with a maximum sign height of eight (8) feet plus wall signs
in accordance with the C-3 district sign regulations."
Section 2. That the existing Section 2, Subsection 3 of Ordinance Number 81-8888 is
hereby repealed.
Section 3. That Ordinance Number 07-10370 approving a pole sign up to thirty (30) feet
in height on the West Fifty-six and thirty-six one hundredths (56.36) feet of Lot 9 in Block 1 of the
Central Mall Subdivision, Salina, Kansas, Saline County, Kansas also referred to as Tract "A" is hereby
repealed.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption
and publication once in the official city newspaper.
