RESOLUTION NUMBER 1580
WHEREAS, The 6.ty of Salina, Kansas, a municipal corporation has
heretofore granted The Kansas Power and Light Company, a Kansas corporation,
a franchise to use the public streets, alleys and thorofares in the said
City forthe purpose of supply electricity to the Cit yy of Salina, Kansas,
and the inhabitants thereof, being Ordinance, No. &4 _ , and .
WHEREAS,, thesaid Comparir is furnishing street lighting service in
the City of Salina, . ansas, and it is the desire of thesaid City that
certain changes and/or extensions be made in,the existing street lighting
system:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED- BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF
SALINA, KANSAS:
Section 1. That the City of Salina, Kansas, request and authorize
The Kansas Power and Light Company to make the following changes and/or
additions to the existing street lighting system in the said City;
Remove: Sixty-six (66) 10,000 lumens lamps on Santa Fe, Salina.
Install: Sixty-six (66) 20,000 lumens mercury vapor lamps on Santa Fe,
Salina.
Section 2. That the City of Salina, Kansas, pay The Kansas. Power
and Light Company for the street lighting service resulting from the
changes described above at the said Company's price schedule SL -1 now on
file with the State Corporation.Commission of Kansas, or as modified by
authority of said Commission or other regulatory body having jurisdiction
over the rates charged by Company. The prices applicable to the service
covered by this resolution'and named in said schedule are as follows:
For each 400 watt 20.,000 mercury vapor lamp on steel pole with
overhead conductor, X60.00 per year.
Passed and approved this 19th day of July 1955, by the governing
body of the City of Salina, Kansas.
