RESOLUTION NUMBER 1393
A Resolution finding that it is necessary for the City of Salina,
Kansas, to acquire certain land for additional water wells for the use of
said City and to appropriate private property therefor, and directing the
City Engineer to file a survey and description of the ]sand so required.
WHEREAS, the City of Salina, Kansas, owns and operates a municipal
water works for the purpose of supplying said city and its inhabitants with
water; and
WHEREAS., the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas,
deem it necessary to drill and erect additional water wells to be used by
said city in its municipal water works; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of SA.i.na, Kansas,
deem it necessary to appropriate private property on which to drill and
erect such wells, so now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OFT HE CITY OF SALINA,
KANSAS:
That it is necessary for the City of Salina, Kansas,. to appropriate
private property described as follows, to -wit:
Tract 1. The East Fifth (50) feet of the South Fifty (50)
feet of Lot 8 in Atherton -Phillips Addition to the
City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas. and
Tract 2. The SouLlh Fifty (50) feet of the East Half (E/2)
of Lot 2 ' in Geis Addition to the City of Jain,
Saline County, Kansas;
all for the use of said city for the drilling and erection of water wells
to be used by said city in the supplying of said city and its inhabitants
with water, and the City Engineer is hereby directed to file With the City
Clerk forthwith a survey and description of the land so required.
That this resolution shallbe in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
