A RESOLUTION determining necessity of and directing t at the owner or owners
of certain lots construct, in compliance with plans and specifications of the
City Engineer, a sidewalk abutting said lots within 30 days of the adoption
and publication hereof and providing that in the event the owner or owners fail
to do so, that the City of Salina shall proceed to construct or cause to be
constructed said sidewalk and that the total cost thereof shall be assessed
against such lot or lots on which such sidewalk shall abut as other special
assessments.
WHEREAS, a sufficient petition has heretofore been filed praying for the
construction of certain sidewalks hereinafter described, AND NOW
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City o Salina, Kansas;:
That a sidewalk, 5 feet in width shall be constructed in accordance with
the adopted and approved standard plans and specifications of the City Ening-
eer of said City now on file in the office of said engineer, which are hereby
incorporated herein:
South parking of Ralph Avenue between Quincy
Street and Norton Street abutting Lots 1, 2, 3,
4, 51 6, 7, 80 9 Block 5, Southern View Addition,
City of Salina,,Ialine County, Kansas.
South parking of Russell Street from Norton Street
to Roach Street abutting Lots 61, 63, 65, 67, 69
71, 732 75, 77, 79 on Russe.0 .Street in Addition
to the Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan University, City
of Salina, Saline County, Kansas.
East parking of Norton Street between Russell Avenue
and Cloud Street abutting Lots 61-62 on Norton Street
in Addition to Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan University,
City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas.
North parking of Cloud Street between Norton Street
and Roach Street abutting Lots 62, 64, 660 68, 70,
72, 744 762 78, 80 on Cloud Street in Addition to
Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan University, City of Salina,
Saline County, Kansas.
West parking of Roach Street between Cloud Street and
Russell Avenue abutting Lots 79, 80 on Roach Street
in Addition to Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan University,
City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas.
West parking of Montrose Street between: South Street and
Morrison Avenue abutting the south 18 feet of Lot 12,
and the North 25 feet of Lot 13, Block."Aa Morrison lith
Addition, City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas.
in said city and the construction thereof is hereby determined to be necessary
improvement.

That the owner or owners of each of said lots described in the preceding
paragraph hereof are hereby directed.to_.cause..said.sidewalk to be -so constructed
immediately adjacent to their respective lot or lots within -thirty daysfrom
and after the publi cation hereof, and in compliance with s aid- plans. and speci-
fications, and in the event of 'the failure of any owner or owners of. said lots
so to do, then the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, shall
proceed to construct said sidewalk or cause the same to be constructed at the
place or places where such owner or owners have so failed, and that said
Board shall cause the cost thereof to be assessed against the lot or lots
upon which said sidewalk abuts as a special assessment and that the City
Clerk of the City of Salina, Kansas, shall cause said special assessment to be
certified to the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, to be collected
:according to law.
This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption and publication once in the official City paper..
