1779 Flood Control0 WHEREAS, the City of Salina, Kansas, has heretofore by resolution duly passed declared it necessary for the public good and convenience that the City of Salina, Kansas, be protected from the overflow of certain watercourses; and WHEREAS," the City of Salina, Kansas, has done and is doing all things necessary and requisite to procure adequate flood protection for the said City in accordance with G. S. 1949, 12-635 to 646 • (a), inclusive, and amendments thereto; and ; WHEREAS it is necessary to appoint three disinterested householders of said City to appraise any special benefits that may accrue to any property by reason of said improvements being made as specifically provided in G. S. 1949, 12-645, as amended; NOW THEREFORE"., Be it resolved by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas;: SECTION 1. That the following three disinterested householders of the City of Salina, Kansas! Warren Garrett, D. R. Stephan and Ted Collister, be and they are hereby appointed as appraisers to appraise any special bene- fits that may accrue to any property by reason of said improvements being made or if in their judgment the improvements benefit the City generally, said appraisers shall report the same to the governing body of the City of Salina, Kansan. SECTION 2. Said appraisers., before entering upon their duties as such appraisers, shall first take and subscribe to an oath to faithfully per- form their duties as such appraisers and shall personally view, inspect and examine all lots and pieces of land liable to be specially benefited by said improvement being made. If, in their judgment, any lots and pieces of land will be specially benefitedby said improvementtbeing made, other than the benefits to the City generally, said appraisers shall report the same to the governing.body of the City a fSalina, Kansas, listing the lots and pieces of land specially benefited and the amount of special benefit to each. If, in their judgment, the improvemeit benefits the City generally said appraisers shall report the same tothe governing body of the City of Salina, Kansan. SECTION 3. Said appraisers shall, after performing their duties in accordance wit law, file their written report with the Clerk of the City of Salina, Kansas. SECTION 4.
