1735 Electric Franchise�y let 0-4 RESOLUTION NUMBER 1735 WHEREAS, The City of Salina, Kansas, a municipal corporation, has heretofore granted The Kansas Power and Light Company, a Kansas Corporation, a franchise to use the public streets, alleys and thorofares in the said City for the purpose of supplying electricity to the City of Salina, Kansas, and the inhabitants thereof, being Ordinance No. , and WHMEA5, the said Compaiy is furnishing street lig ng service in the City of Salina, Kansas, and it is the desire of the said City that certain changes and/or extensions be made in the existing street lighting system: NOW THMEFORE HE IT R ESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the City of Salina, Kansas, request and authorize The Kansas Power and Light Company to make the following changes and/or additions to the existing street lighting system in the said City: Remove 94 2500 lumen lamps on 10' concrete poles on South Santa Fe Avenue. Remove 3 15000 lumen lamps on wood poles on South Santa Fe Avenue. Install 105 16000 lumen mercury vapor lamps on wood poles on South Santa Fe Avenue, thence west on Claflin to Ninth Street. Section 2_ That the City.of Salina, Kansas, pay The Kansas Power and Liz g' T6mppaai y for the street lighting service resulting from the changes described above at the said Company's price, schedule SL -1 now on file with the State Corporation Commission of Kansas, or as modified by authority of said Commission or other regulatory body havinguai.cti;san over the rates charged by Company. The prices applicable to the service covered by this resolution and named in said schedule are as follows: For each 16,000 lumen mercury vapor lamp on 'wooden pole with over head conductor, $40.00 per year.
