A RESOLUTION determining necessity of and directing that the owner or owners
of certain lots construct, in compliance with plans and spefifications of
the City Engineer, a sidewalk abutting sadid lots within 30 days of the adop-
tion and publication hereof and providing that in the event the owner or
owners fail to do so, that the City of Salina shall proceed to construct or
cause to be constructed said sidewalk and that the total cost thereof be
assessed against such lot or lots on which such sidewalk shall abut as other
special assessments.
WHEREAS, a sufficient petition has heretofore been filed praying for the
construction of certain sidewalks hereinafter described, AND, NO.,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
That a sidewalk, 5 feet in width shall be constructed in accordance
with the accepted and approved standard plans and specifications of the City
Engineer of said City now onfile in the office of said Engineer, which are
hereby incorporated herein:
South parking of Cloud Avenue starting at a point
on the west property line of Lot 8,'Block 3, Talley
Addition to the West line of Beach Street; thence
in the West parking of Beach Street to the North
line of Winona Street; thence in the North parking of
Winona Street to the West property .line of Lot 12, Block 3,
Talley Addition in•said City and abutting Lots l to -8.
inclusive, and 12 to 19 inclusive.in Block 3, Talley
Addition to the City of Salina,. Kansas, Saline County, Kansas.
South parking of Cloud-Street.from the east line of
Beach Street to the West line of Dover Drive; tence
in the West Parking of Dover Drive to the last line
of Winona Street; thence in the North parking of
Winona Street to the East line of Beach Street; thence
in the East parking of Beach Street to the South line
of Cloud Avenue in said City and abutting Lots 1 to ll
inclusive in Block 2, Talley Addition to the City of Salina,
Saline County, Kansas.
in said City and the construction thereof is hereby determined to be necess
improvement.
That the owner or owners of each of said lots described in the preced-
ing paragraph hereof are hereby directed to cause said sidewalk to be so
constructed immediately adjacent to their respective lot or lots within
thirty days from and after the publication hereof, and im compliance with
said plans and specifications, and in the event of the failure of any owner
or owners of said lots so to do, then the Board of Commissioners of the. City
of Salina, Kansas shall proceed to construct said sidewalk or cause the same
to be constructs at the place or places where such owner or owners have so
failed, and that said Board shall cause the cost thereof to be assessed
against the lot or lots upon which said sidewalk abuts as a special assess-
ment and that the City Clerk of the City of Salina, Kansas, shall cause
said special assessment to be certified to the Count[ Clerk of Saline County,
Kansas, to be collected according to law.

This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after
its adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
