2330 Sidewalk Improvements Bachtold Avenue(First Published in The Salina Journal , 1960)
A RESOLUTION determining necessity of and directing that the owner or owners of
certain lots construct, in compliance with plans and specifications of the City
Engineer, a sidewalk, abutting said lots within 30 days of the adoption and
publication hereof and providing that in the event the owner or owners fail to do
so, that the City of Salina shall proceed to construct or cause to be constructed
said sidewalk and that the total cost thereof shall be assessed against such lot
or lots on which such sidewalk shall abut as other special assessments.
WHEREAS, a sufficient petition has heretof#ire been filed praying for the
construction of certain sidewalks hereinafter described, and now, THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas.-

ansas:.._That a sidewalk, 5 feet in width shall be constructed in accordance with
the accepted and approved standard plans and specifications of the City Engineer
of said City.now on file in the office of said Engineer, which are hereby
incorporated herein:
A property line sidewalk, 5 feet wide adjacent to Lots 1 to
16 inclusive, Block 3, Cloud Addition on Maple Street from
the north line of Cloud Street to the south line of Bachtold
Avenue in the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas.
in said City and the construction thereof is hereby determined to be necessary
improvement.
That the owner or owners of each of said lots described in the preceding
paragraph hereof are hereby directed to cause said sidewalk to be so constructed
immediately adjacent to their respective lot or lots within thirty days from
and after the publication hereof, and in compliance with said plans and
specifications, and in the event of the failure of any owner or owners of said
lots so to do, then the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kanaas,
shall procedd to construct said sidewalk or cause the same to be constructed at
the place or places where such owner or owners have so failed, and that said
Board shall cause the cost thereof to be assessed against the lot or lots upon
which sidewalk abuts as a special assessments and taht the City Clerk of the
City of Salina, Kansas shall cause said special assessments to be certified to
County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, to be collected according to law.
This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
and publication once in the official city paper.
