2562 Eminent Domain Sewage Treatment PlantA RESOLUTION finding that it is necessary to d+ondemn and to appropriate
private property for the purpose of the construction, extension and maintenance
of an addition to the Sewage Treatment Plant located in the Northwest Quarter
(NW -41) of Section Eight-.-(8).,.Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Two (2) West of
the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, and necessary to condemn
easements, permanent and temporary, in certain properties for the purpose of
constructing, extending, installing and maintaining certain sanitary trunk lines
from the North boundary of Wayne Avenue, thence in a southerly direction to
Magnolia Road, and directing the City Engineer to file a survey and description
of the land so required.
WHEREAS the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, deems it
necessary to enlarge, extend and construct an addition to the Sewage Treatment
Plant owned by the City of Salina, Kansas, and deems it necessary to construct
and extend certain sanitary trunk lines from the North boundary of Wayne Avenue
thence in a southerly direction to Magnolia Road; and,
WHEREAS the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, deem it
necessary to appropriate private property on which to construct the addition and
extension to the said Sewage Treatment Plant, and sanitary trunk lines; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY -OF
SALINA, KANSAS:
Section 1. That it is deemed and declared necessary for the City of Salina
Kansas, to condemn and appropriate private property for the construction, extensi
and maintenance of an addition to the Sewage Treatment Plant located in the
Northwest Quarter (NW4) of Section Eight (8), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range
Two (2) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, and to
condemn easements, permanent and temporary, in certain properties for the
purpose of constructing, extending, installing and maintaining certain sanitary
trunk lines from the.North;boundary of Wayne Avenue, thence in a southerly
direction to Magnolia Road;
Section 2. That the City Engineer is -hereby directed to file with the City
Clerk on or before the JOW day of November, 1961 a survey and description of the
property so required;
Section 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from the date
of its adoption.
Adopted and approved by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas, in regular session this 7th day of November, 1961.
