A RESOLUTION recommending the adoption by the congress of the United
States of the Federal Airport Act extension.
WHEREAS, the Senate of the United States of America has passed the
Federal Airport Act Extension, S.1153 and the same is now scheduled for
action by the House of Representatives; and,
WHEREAS, the above. legislation has in the past and will in .the future
be beneficial to the. -City of Salina in the improvement of its municipal
airport; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, deem
it beneficial and.in the public interest that the Federal Airport Act be
extended.for a period of three (3) years; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF
SALINA, KANSAS:
That it IN eastnestly solicits the Congress of the United States of
America to pass the Federal Airport Act Extension, S.1153, for an
additional three (3) years at the present seventy-five million a year level
so as to aid local government in the improvement of municipal airports.
That the City Clerk of the City of Salina, Kansas, be and he is hereby
directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Honorable Robert Dole.
Adopted by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas and signed
by the Mayor this 27th day of January, 1964.
