2702 Advisability Improvements Bonnie Ridge Additionr� 1 1 ,97 RESOLUTION NUMBER. 2702 (Published in The Salina Journal 1963) A RESOLUTION determining the advisability of certain street, sewer, water mains and hydrant improvements, estimating the cost thereof, defining the - boundaries of the improvement district, method of assessment, -and apportioning the cost between the improvement district and the City at.Large.. WHEREAS, the public hearing on the advisability of the following improvements, Ito wit: 1. The curbing, guttering and paving of: (a) Neal Avenue from a point 200 feet east of the west line of Bonnie Ridge Addition to a line from the Northwest corner of Lot 17, Block 7 to the Southeast corner of Lot 12, Block 9 Bonnie Ridge Addition. 2. Water mains to be installed in the above described street. 3. A sanitary sewer to serve Lot 12, Block 9, Lots 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13, Block 8; Lots 1 thru Lot 7, Lot 9 and Lot 10, Block 2; Lots 16 thru 18, Block l; Lots 4 thru 11, Block 5 and Lots 6 thru 16, Block 7, Bonnie Ridge Addition. Sewer lines described as follows:. (a) An 8 inch clay pipe sewer beginning at an existing manhole in Melanie Lane, thence west to Neal Avenue to Lot 16, Block 1 where a.manhole will be built. (b) An 8 inch clay pipe sewer beginning at a manhole to be built in Neal Avenue at.Bobby-_Place, thence north:50 feet.. (c) An 8 inch clay pipe sewer beginning at a manhole,to be built in Neal Avenue at Linda Lane, thence south 50 feet. was held as provided by Resolution Number 2695 adopted and approved by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, on the 5th day of March, 1963. WHEREAS, notice.of: public hearing ,on the advisability of the said improvements has been published in The Salina Journal, the official city newspaper, on the 11th day of March, 1963 and the 18th day of March, 1963 as provided by said Resolution and G. S. 1959i—Supp. Section 12-6a01 to:6al8 State of.Kansas. WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, met in the Commissioners Room at the City Hall on the 26th day of March, 1963 at 4:00 o'clock P. M. for the purpose of condcuting a public -hearing on,=the advisability of said improvements, said hearings were finally adjourned on the day of 1963 all as provided by law. NOW THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF SALINA. KANSAS: Section 1. That -the Board of Commissioners of the.City of Salina, Kansas hereb finds and finally determined that: It is advisable to make the following improvements, to -wit: 1. The curbing, guttering and paving.of: (a) Neal Avenue from a point 200 feet east of the west line of Bonnie -.Ridge Addition to _a .line.=fromzthe northwest corner of Lot -_17, Block 7-:to.ahe Southeast corner .of Lot 12, Block 9 of Bonnie Ridge Addition. 2. That part of the City of Salina, Saline,County, Kansas, described as follows: to -wit 1. , Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 12, Block 9 Bonnie -Ridge Addition. 2. thence north along the.back line of Lots 11 and 12 to , the northeast corner of Lot.11, Block 8 Bonnie Ridge Add.. .3, thence west along -the north line of Lot 11, Block 9 Bonnie Ridge Addition to the northwest corner of said Lot;. 4. thence south along the.west line;of Lot:ll,.Block.9 Bonnie Ridge Addition to a point -60' feet.south.of the northwest corner of said lot; 5. thence west along the center of Block 8, Bonnie Ridge Addition to a point on the west line of -Bert Avenue and extension of said center line; 6. thence north along the west line of Bert Avenue to the northeast corner of Block 2, Bonnie Ridge Addition; 7. thence west along north line of Block 2, Bonnie Ridge Addition to a point 200 feet east of the west line of Bonnie Ridge Addition; 8., thence south along a line 200 feet east of the west -line of Bonnie Ridge Addition to a point where -said line meets the.west line of Linda Lane; 9. thence southeasterly to the northwest corner of Lot 2, Block 5, -Bonnie Ridge,Addition; 10. thence easterly along the north line of Lots 2, 35, 34 ,and 33;. Block 5.Bonnie.•Ridge:Addition to the northwest corner of Lot 12, Block 5; 11. thence southeasterly along back line of Lots 12, 13, 14 and 15, Block 5 to the southwest corner of Lot 15, ,Block 5 Bonnie Ridge Addition; 12. thence northeasterly along the south line of Lot 15, Block 5 and Lot 4, Block 7 to .the northeast -corner of Lot 114 Block 7 Bonnie Ridge Addition; 13. thence east along the south line of Lots 8 thru 16, Block -7,to the southeast corner of Lot 15,Block 7 Bonnie Ridge Addition; 14. thence north along the east line of Lot 16, Block 7 Bonnie Ridge Addition to the northeast corner of said lot; 15. thence northeasterly to point of beginning. 1 i 1 L 1 The estimated or proable_cost of such improvements is $87,762.95. The proposed apportionment of°cost between the improvement district and the City at large is as follows: 1. Costs chargeable to Private Property in the amount of $67,759.78. 2. Costs chargeable to the City at Large in the- amount- of $20,003.17: 3. The assessments with accrued interest shall be levied as� a special tax upon the property included therein concurrent with the general property taxes and shall be payable in Ten (10) equal annual installments. 4. The amount of assessments to each lot or parcel of ground shall be proportioned by the square foot method. Adjustments to determine building line front will be made on irregular or odd shaped lots. Section 2. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the public hearing on the advisability of the improvement set out in Section 1 hereof, is hereby finally adjourned.
