BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
That a public hearing shall be had by the Board of Commissioners of the City
of Salina,. Kansas, on the advisability of the following improvementsL
A'Sanitary Sewer. -to serve the -comfort station in Thomas.Park
and extended to Euclid Avenue where a sewer will be constructed
to serve Tucker Park Addition.
on the 22nd day of April, 1968, at.4:00 o'clock P.M. in the Commission Room in
City Hall as provided by K. S. A. Sections 12-6a01 to 12-6al8,. State of Kansas.
The City Clerk shall publish the following notice of such public hearing in
the official city newspaper -in the manner provided by law. --
NOTICErOF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADVISABILITY
OF CERTAIN SEWER MAIN IMPROVEMENTS
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina;
Kansas, will meet for the purpose of holding a public hearing, as provided by K.
S. A. Sections 12-6a01 to 12-6al8,. State of Kansas,f in the Commission Room of the
City Hall on the 22nd day of April, 1968, at 4:00 o'clock P.M. to consider the
advisability of the following improvements:
A Sanitary Sewer to serve the comfort station in Thomas_Park
and extended to Euclid,Avenue where a sewer will be constructed
to serve Tucker Park Addition.
The extenttor boundaries of the proposed improvement district to be assessed
is:
That part -of the City of, Salina, Saline County_, Kansas, described as follows;
to -wit:
Benefit District for private property is all of Tucker Park
Addition.
The estimated..or-probable...cost of such improvements is $26,331.00.
The proposed apportionment of cost betweentthe improvement district and the
City at Large is as follows:
1. All that part north of Euclid Avenue chargeable to the City
in the amount of $13,670.00
2. All that part on Euclid Avenue and which serve Tucker Park Addition
chargeable to Tucker Park Addition in the amount of $12,661.00.
3. The assessment with accrued interest shall be levied as a special
tax upon the property included therein concurrent with the general
property taxes and shall be payable in Ten (10) equal annual installment
4. -.The amount of assessment to each lot or parcel of ground shall be
proportioned on the front foot basis.
The hearing may be adjounned from time to time until the Board of Commission rs
shall have made findings by resolution as to the advisability of the improvements
the nature of the improvement, the estimated cost, the boundaries of the improvem nt
district, the method of assessment and the apportionment of the cost between the
district and the City at Large, all as finally determined by the Board of Commis-
sioners, provided, the area of the improvement district may be less than; but sha 1
not exceed the area proposed to be assessed as stated in this notice without givi g
notice and holding a new hearing on the improvement. All persons desiring to be
heard with reference to the proposed improvement, will' be heard at this meeting,.
