A RESOLUTION directing and ordering a public hearing on the advisability of
curb, gutter, paving, sidewalks, and sewer and water mains improvements in certa
districts and giving notice of such hearing.
BE IT -RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS of the City of Salina, Kansas_:
That a public hearing shall be had by the Board of Commissioners of the Cit;
of Salina, Kansas, on the advisability.of the following improvements:
The Curbing, guttering, pavement, sidewalks,
sewer and water main improvements to serve
Blocks 1 and 3 in Country Club Heights
Addition Number 4.
on the 20th day of 'March , 1967, at 4:00 o'clock P. M. in the
Commission Room in the City Hall as provided by K. S. A. Sections 12-6a01 to
12-6al8, State of Kansas.
The City Clerk shall publish the following notice of such public hearing .in
the official city newspaper in the manner provided by law.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADVISABILITY'OF CERTAIN
SEWER, WATER MAIN, CURBING, GUTTERING, AND PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENTS
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Salina, Kansas will meet for the purpose of holding a public hearing, as provid
by K. S. A., Sections 12-6a01 to 12-6a18, State of Kansas, in the Commission
Room of the City Hall on the 20th day of March , 1967 at 4:00
o'clock P. M. to consider the advisability of the following improvements.
The Curbing, guttering, pavement, sidewalks,
sewer and water main improvements to serve
Blocks 1 and 3, in Country Club Heights
Addition Number 4.
The extent or boundaries of the proposed improvement district to be asses
is:
That part of the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, described as foll
to -wit:
Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, S, and 6 in Block 3; Lots 1 to 16,
inclusive in Block 1, all in Country Club Heights
Addtion Number 4 to the City of Salina, Saline County,
Kansas.
The estimated or probable cost of such improvements is $68,690.40.
The proposed apportionment of cost between the improvement district and
City at Large is as follows:
1. Costs chargeable to Private Property in the
amount of $64,018.80.
2. Costs chargeable to the City at Large in the
amount of $4,671.60.
3. The assessment with accrued interest shall be
levied as a special tax upon the property included
therein concurrent with the general property taxes
and shall be payable in Ten (10) Equal Annual
installments.
4. The amount of assessment to each lot or parcel of
ground shall be proportioned on the square foot
basis.

The hearing may be adjourned from time to time until the Board of
Commissioners shall have made findings by resolution as to the advisability of
the improvement, the nature of the improvement, the estimated cost, the boundari
of the improvement district, the method of assessment and the apportionment of t
cost between the District and the City at Large, all as finally determined by
the Board of Commissioners, provided, the area of the improvement district may b
less than, but shall not exceed the area proposed to be assessed as stated in
this notice without giving notice and h6lding a new hearing on the improvement.
All, persons desiring to be heard with reference to the proposed improvement will
be heard at this meeting.
