2913 Order Sidewalk Improvements126 (Published in the Salina Journal 1966) A RESOLUTION determining necessity of and directing that the owner or owners of certain^lots construct; in compliance with''plans and specifications'of the City Engineer, a sidewalk, abutting said lots within 60 days of the adoption and publication-hereof-aiid-"providing that in the event the or owners fail to do so, that the City of Salina shall proceed to construct or cause to be constructed said sidewalk and that the total cost theieofi'shall be assessed against -such lot lots on which .such ,sidewalk shall abut as other special assessments.. WHEREAS, a sufficient petition has hereto -fore been filed praying for the_ construction of certain sidewalks herein -after --described; and -now BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of. the City"of-Salina,'Kansas: That a sidewalk'shall-be constructed on the following properties in accordance with the accepted and approved standard plans and specifications of the"City Engineer of "saidcity'now on file in the office of said engineer, which are hereby incorporated herein, Both side of Willis Avenue from East Line of Haskett Avenue to the West line of Hageman Avenue. Adjacent to Lots 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 Block 2, Lamer's lst'Subdi�ision grid adjacent to Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Block 3, Lamer's 2nd Subdivision City of Salina; Saline County, Kansas. in said city and the construction thereof is hereby determined to be a necessary improvement. That the owner or owners of each of said lots described in the preceeding paragraph hereof are hereby directed to cause said sidewalk to be so constructed immediately adjacent to their respective lot or lots within Sixty days from and after the publication hereof, and in compliance with.said:plans and specifications and in theeventof the failure of any owner or owners of said lots so to do, then the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas shall proceed to construc said sidewalk or cause the same to be constructed at the place or places where such owner.or,.owners have so-failed,_and that said Board shall cause the cost thereof to be assessed against the lot or lots upon which said sidewalk abuts as a special assessment and that the City Clerk of the City of Salina shall cause said special assessment to be certified to the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, to be collected according to law.
