A RESOLUTION directing and ordering a public hearing on the advisablility of
sidewalk improvements in certain districts and giving notice of such hearing.,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
That a public hearing shall be had by the Board of,Commissioners of the City
of Salina, Kansas, on the advisability of the following improvements:
Four Inch concrete, property line, sidewalk
on the following property:
1. South side of Claremont Drive, from the
East curb line of Queens Road to the East
line of Lot 20, Block 3, Claremont
Heights Addition.
2. West side of Front Street, from the South
line of Ash. Street approximately 120 feet
in Lot 14, Atherton and Phillips Additon.
3. South side of Franklin Street, from the
West line of Ninth Street west 102 feet
of Lot 1, Block 6, Fairview Addition.
4. _West side of Ninth Street; the South 50
feet of Lot 4,.on,.Ninth Street in Phillips
Addition
5. West side of Ninth Street; the South 50
feet of Lot 5, on Ninth.Street in Phillips
Addition.
on the 3rd day of October , 1966, at 4:00 o'clock P. M. in the
Commission Room in the City Hall as provided by K. S. A. Sections 12-6a01 to
12-6al8, State of Kansas.
The City.Clerk shall publish the.following.notice of such public hearing in
the official city newspaper in the manner provided by law.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADVISABILITY'OF CERTAIN SIDEWALK IMPROVEME
Notice is hereby given that.,the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salin
Kansas will meet for the purpose of holding a public hearing, as provided by
K. S A.,'.aSections 12-6a01 to 12-6al8,.State of Kansas,. in the Commission Room
Of the City Hall on the 3rd day of October , 1966 at 4:00 o'clock
P. M. to consider the advisability of following improvement.
.Four Inch concrete, property line, sidewalk
on the following property:
1: South side of Claremont Drive, from the

The extent or boundaries of the proposed improvement district to be assessed
That part of the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, described as follows;
to -wit:
Lot 20, Block 3, Claremont Heights Addition;
Lot 1, Block 6, Fairview Addition;
Lot 14,.Atherton and Phillips Addition;
The East, 125 feet of the South half of Lot 4, on Ninth Street,
Phillips'Addition;
The East 125 feet of the South 25 feet of the North 75 feet of
Lot "5', ,and the East 137.5 feet of the South 25 feet
of Lot 5, on Ninth Street, Phillips Addition;
All in the City of Salina,,Saline County, Kansas
The estimated or probable cost of such improvements is $1,412.00.
The proposed apportionment of cost between the improvement district and the
City at Large is as follows:
1. Costs chargeable 'to Private Property in the amount of
$1,342.00.
2. Costs chargeable to the City at Large in the amount of
$70.00.
3.rl The assessment with accrued interest shall be levied as a
special tax upon the property included therein concurrent
with the general property taxes and shall be payable in
four (4) equal annual installments.
4. The -amount of assessment to each lot or parcel of ground
shall be the cost of sidewalk installed on each property.
The hearing may be adjourned from time to time until the Board.of Commission
shall have made findings by -resolution as to the advisability of the improvement,
the nature of the improvement, the estimated cost, the boundaries of the improvem(
district, the method of assessment and the apportionment of the cost between the
District and the City at Large, all as finally determined by the Board of
Commissioners, provided, the area of the improvement district may be less than,
but shall not exceed the area proposed to be assessed as stated in this notice
without giving notice and holding a new hearing on the improvement. All persons
desiring to be heard withreference to the proposed 'improvement will°be heard at
this meeting.
