A RESOLUTION directing and ordering a public hearing on the advisability
of curb, gutter, paving and sewer and water mains and hydrant. -,improvements in
certain districts and giving notice of such hearing.
BE IT_RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS of the City of Salina, Kansas:
That a public hearing shall be had by the Board of Commissioners of the
City of Salina, Kansas, on the advisability of the following improvements:
The Sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water main, curbing, guttering
and pavement of Elmhurst Boulevard, from Ohio Street to Roach
Street.
on the 14th day of March, 1966, at 4:00 o'clock P. M: in the Commission Room in
the City Hall as provided by K. S. A. Sections 12-6a01 to 12-6al8, State of
Kansas.
The City Clerk shall publish the following notice of such public hearing in
the official city newspaper in the manner provided by law.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADVISABILITY OF CERTAIN
SEWER, I4ATER MAIN, CURBING, GUTTERING, AND PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENTS
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina;
Kansas, will meet for the purpose of holding a public hearing, as provided
by K. S. A., Sections 12-6a01 to 12-6al8, State of Kansas, in the Commission
Room of the City Hall on the 14th dgy of March, 1966, at 4:00 o'clock P..M.
to consider the advisability of the following improvements.
The Sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water main, curbing, guttering
and pavement of Elmhurst Boulevard, from Ohio Street to Roach
Street.
The extent or boundaries of the proposed improvement district to be assessed
is:
That part of the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, described as follows;
to -wit:
The South one half of Block One and the south one half of Block Two,
and all of Lots 1, 2, and 3, in Block Three, Riverdale Addition
to the'City of Salina, Kansas.
The estimated or probable cost of such improvements is $46,507.45.
The proposed apportionment of cost between the improvement district and
the City at Large is as follows:
1. Costs chargeable to Private Property in the amount of $45,682.45.
2. Costs chargeable to the City at Large in the amount of $825.00.
3. The assessment with accrued interest shall be levied as a special
tax upon the property included therein concurrent with the general
property taxes and shall be payable in ten (10) equal annual
installments.
4. The amount of.assessment to each lot or parcel of ground shall be
proportioned on the front footage basis.

The hearing may be adjourned from time to time until the Board of
Commissioners shall have made findings by resolution as to the advisability of
the improvement,.the nature of the improvement, the estimated cost, the
boundaries of the improvement district, the method of assessment and the appor-
tionment of the cost between the District and the City at Large, all as
finally determined by the Board of Commissioners, provided, the area of the
improvement district may be less than, but shall not exceed the area proposed
to be assessed as stated in this notice without giving notice and holding a
new hearin& on the improvement. All persons desiring to be heard with
reference to the proposed improvement will be heard at this meeting..
