BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: That a public hearing shall be held by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, on the advisability of the following improvementE The installation of paving on Woodland Avenue with 6 inch reinforced concrete from Second Street to Third Street. The installation of a water main in Meadowlark Lane from Mars Avenue to Saturn Avenue. The installation of curbing, guttering, concrete pavement, water main, sanitary sewer and drainage system in Bobby Place, Mike Drive and Bret Avenue from Neal Avenue to the north line of Bonnie Ridge Addition. The installation of.a sanitary sewer to serve a tract of land 4001.x 367' in the Northwest Quarter of Section 7, Township 14 South, Range 2 West. The installation of a water main and sanitary sewer to serve Lot 1, Block 1, Morton Addition. on the 3rd day of January, 1972, at 4:00 o'clock P.M. in the Commissioners' Room, in the City -County Building, as provided by K. S. A. Sections 12-6a01 to 12-6a18. The City Clerk shall publish the following notice of such public hearing in the official city newspaper, in the manner provided by law. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADVISABILITY OF STREET, WATER MAIN, SANITARY SEWER, AND STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENTS Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, will meet for the purpose of holding a public hearing, as provided by K.S.A. Lots 1, 2, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22, Block 12; Lots 10, 11, 12, 13o and 14, Block 13; Lots 7.and 8, Block 14; Lots 1 through 12, Block 15, Wallerius Addition. Beginning at appoint 314 feet east of the southwest corner of said Section 36; 2. Thence North 338.9 feet; 3. Thence east and parallel to the south line of said Section 36 to the center line of old Dry Creek; 4. Thence southeasterly down the center of old Dry Creek to a point 300 feet north of the south line of said Section 36; 5. Lot 1, Block 1, Morton Addition. The estimated or probable cost of such improvements is $183,145.�,O. The proposed apportionment of cost between the improvement district and the City -at -large is as follows: 1. Costs chargeable to Private Property in -the amount of $166,967.35. 2. Costs chargeable to the City -at -large in the amount of $16,178.25. 3. The assessment, with accrued interest, to be levied as a special assessment tax upon.the property, included within the benefit district, concurrent with the general property tax and shall be payable in ten equal annual installments. 4. The method of assessment shall be based on the front footage of each lot or parcel of land and without regard to the buildings or improvement of the land. The hearing may be adjourned from time to time until the Board of Commissioners shall have made findings by resolution as to the.advisability of the Improvements, the nature of the improvement, the estimated cost, the boundaries of the improvement district, the method of assessment and the apportionment of the cost between the district and the City -at -large, all as finally determined by the Board of Commissioners, provided, the area of the improvement district may be less than; but shall not exceed the area proposed to be assessed, as stated in this notice, without giving notice and holding a new hearing on the improvement. All persons desiring to be heard with reference to the proposed improvement will be heard at this meeting. D. L.
