RESOLUTION NUMBER 3104

A RESOLUTION determining necessity of and directing that the owner or
owners of certain lots construct, in compliance with plans and specifications of
the City Engineer, a sidewalk, abutting said lots within 45 days of the adoption
and publication hereof and providing that in the event the owner or owners fail
to do so, that the City of Salina shall proceed to construct, or cause to be
constructed, said sidewalk and that the total cost thereof shall be assessed
against such lot or lots on which such sidewalk shall abut as other special
assessments.
WHEREAS, a sufficient petition has heretofore been filed praying for
the construction of certain sidewalks hereinafter described, and now
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
That a sidewalk shall be constructed on the following property in
accordance with the accepted and approved standard plans and specifications of
the City Engineer of said City, now on file in the Office of said Engineer,
which are hereby incorporated herein:
A concrete sidewalk on the west side of Haskett Avenue
from Otto Avenue north 110 feet, adjacent to the east
line of Lot 1, Block 1, Nordboe Addition.
A concrete sidewalk on.the south side of Otto Avenue
from Haskett Avenue to Mars Avenue, adjacent to
Lots 1, 2, 3, Block 14, Wallerius Addition.
A concrete sidewalk on the south side of Otto Avenue
from Mars Avenue to Neptune Avenue, adjacent to
Lots 1, 2, 3, Block 13, Wallerius Addition.
A concrete sidewalk on the east side of Neptune
Avenue from Venus Avenue to Otto Avenue, adjacent
to Lots 1, 16, 15, Block 10, Wallerius Addition.
A concrete sidewalk on the east side of Hageman
Avenue from 110 feet north of Otto Avenue to
110 feet south of Yale Avenue, adjacent to an
unplatted tract of land.
A concrete sidewalk on the east side of Seventh
Street, adjacent to the South 20 feet of Lot 2
and all of Lot 3, Block 7, Calkins Addition,
to replace a brick sidewalk.
A concrete sidewalk on the north side of Jewell
Avenue, adjacent to Lot 18, Jewell Avenue, Addition
to the Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan University.
in said City and the construction thereof is hereby determined to be necessary
improvements.

That the owner or owners of each of said lots described in the
preceding paragraph hereof are hereby d.irected to cause said sidewalk to be so
constructed immediately adjacent to their respective lot or lots within Forty-
five (45) days from and after the publication hereof, and in compliance with
said plans and specifications, and in the event of the failure of any owner or
owners of said lots so to do, then the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Salina, Kansas, shall proceed to construct said sidewalk, or cause the same to
be constructed at the place or places where such owner or owners have so failed,
and that said Board shall cause the cost thereof to be assessed against the lot
or lots upon which said sidewalk abuts as a special assessment and that the City
Clerk.of the City.of Salina shall cause said special assessments to be certified
to the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, to be collected according to law.
