RESOLUTION NUMBER 3079
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PROGRAM KNOWN AS "PASSPORT TO ADVENTURE"
AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION BY THE MAYOR OF AN "APPLICATION FOR GRANT" TO
THE GOVERNOR'S COMMITTEE ON CRIMINAL ADMINISTRATION AND AN AGREEMENT WITH THE .
ST. FRANCIS BOYSt HOMES OF SALINA, KANSAS, TO CARRY OUT SAID -PROGRAM.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the proposed project, as presented by the St. Franci
Boys' Homes of Salina, Kansas, known as "Passport to Adventure", is hereby
approved.
Section 2. That the Mayor be authorized to execute, on behalf of the
City of Salina, the "Application for Grant" to the G.overnor's Committee on
Criminal Administration for the purpose of securing a gray for the program
to prevent the development of juvenile delinquency in - Salina and surrounding
area which shall be known as "Passport to Adventure".
Section 3. That the Mayor be authorized Jo execute an Agreement
with St. Francis Boys'. Homes of Salina, Kansas, a copy of which is hereto
attached, under the terms of which the St. Franci.s.Boys' Homes of Salina,
Kansas agrees to act as project director for the Passport to Adventure Project
and to assume all financial obligations not covered by the grant received by
the City of Salina from the Governor's Committee on Criminal Administration.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and approved by the Mayor
this 28th day of December, 1970.
