ORDINANCE NUMBER 09-10498
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE III OF CHAPTER 38 OF THE SALINA
CODE BY ADDING SECTION 38-49 AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
TEMPORARILY DESIGNATE AND RESERVE PARKING PLACES ON PUBLIC STREETS
WITHIN CORPORATE CITY LIMITS OF SALINA, KANSAS FOR PERSONS WITH A
DISABILITY.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the city of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That Chapter 38, Article III, is hereby amended by adding Section 38-49 as follows:
"Sec. 38-49. Authority to Designate and Reserve Temporary Parking.
When warranted by the public interest the City Manager is hereby authorized to temporarily
designate, mark, or reserve parking places on public streets to be used only by person with a
disability or persons responsible for the transportation of persons with a disability.
Section 2. That Section 38-49 is hereby added.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its adoption and publication
once in the official city newspaper.
