RESOLUTION NUMBER

A RESOLUTION authorizing and ordering certain street, water main,
sanitary sewer and storm sewer improvements, ordering preparation of plans and
specifications, and the estimate of costs.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the City Clerk on the 3rd day of
October, 1973, proposing certain asphaltic concrete pavement, and water service
and sanitary sewer,�improvements for certain lots in Country Hills Addition
Number 2; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas, did on the
29th day of October, 1973, find such petition to be sufficient; and
WHEREAS, a_petition was filed with the City Clerk on the 4th day of
January, 1974, proposing certain sanitary sewer improvements to service all lots
in Blocks M, 2, 3, Georgetown Addition; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas, did on the
11th day of February, 1974, find such petition to be sufficient; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas, did on the
4th day of March, 1974, duly adopt a resolution finding it advisable to make
the aforementioned improvements under the provisions of Chapter 12�, Article 6a
of the Kansas Statutes Annotated.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the following improvements are hereby authorized
and ordered to be made in accordance with the findings of the Governing Body;
Paving and grading of Fairdale Road from Country
Hills Road to Fairdale Court.
Paving and grading of Fairdale Court from Fairdale
Road to the Fairdale Court cul-de-sac.
Paving and grading of Country Hills Road from
Marymount Road to the Country Hills cul-de-sac.
Installation of water mains and service lines to
serve Lot 1, Block 1; Lots 3 through 16, Block 2;
Lots 1 through 20, Block 3, Country Hills Addition
Number 2 to the City of Salina, Kansas.
Installation of sanitary sewer main and sewer line
to serve Lot 1, Block 1; Lots 2 through 21, Block 2;
Lots 1 through 21, Block 3, Country. Hills Addition
Number 2 to the City of.Salina, Kansas.
Installation of sanitary sewer main to serve all
lots in Blocks 1, 2, 3, Georgetown Addition to
the City of Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. The extent or boundaries of the proposed improvement
district to be assessed is:
That part of the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas,
described as follows, to -wit:
Lot 1, Block 1; Lots 2 through 21, Block 2; Lots 1
through 21, Block 3, Country Hills Addition'Number 2
to the City of Salina, Saline County;1y,1<ansas.
Lots 1 through 12, Block 1; Lots 1 through 12, Block 2;
Lots 1 and 2, Block 3, Georgetown Addition to the City
of Salina, Saline County, Kansas.

Section 3. The estimated or probable cost of such improvements
is $167,925.23.
Section 4. The apportionment of cost between the improvement
district and the City of Salina, is as follows:
1. Costs chargeable to private.property in the
amount of $149,930.11.
2. Costs chargeable to the City -at -large in the
amount of $17,995.12.
Section 5. The assessment with accrued interest shall be levied as
a special tax upon the property included within the benefit district concurrent
with the general property taxes and shall be payable in ten 110) equal annual
installments.
Section 6. The method of assessment shall be based on the adjusted
front footage of each lot of land and without regard to the buildings or
improvements of the land.
Section 7. The City Engineer be and is hereby directed and ordered
to prepare plans and specifications, and estimates of the cost of said
improvements by the 18th day of March, 1974.
Adopted and approved bythe Board of Commissioners of the City of
Salina, Kansas, in regular session this 11th day of March, 1974.
