RESOLUTION NUMBER 3171
A RESOLUTION RELATING TO STATE AID FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF CITY
CONNECTING LINKS ON THE STATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute
for and on behalf of the City of Salina, Kansas, Agreement Number between
the City and the State Highway Commission of Kansas, giving the State Highway
Commission of Kansas authority to act for the City, and in its place and stead,
to obtain for the City the benefits of State Aid and obtain the benefits of such
legislation for the City on the terms and conditions set forth in such agreement
as may be prepared and approved by the State Highway Commission for the
improvement of US 81 business route beginning on US 81 and 1 35 W, south of
Salina, then NE and N for 1.287 (project description) miles to point on S
city limit of Salina, 1320' N of SE corner of Sec. 36, T 15 S, R 3 W; N on
9th St; N on Broadway; N on 9th to 1 70. US 40 beginning at 9th, Pacific &
Broadway; S on 9th to Ash; E on Ash to Ohio, N to 1 70 designated as a city
connecting link on the State Highway System and known as Project No.
S. S. No. 2-174-1.
Adopted and approved by the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Salina, Kansas, in regular session this 21st day of January, 1974.
