WHEREAS, the public hearing on the advisability of the following improvements, to -wit: Curbing, guttering, paving and grading of IRENE STREET from the west line of Lot 7, Block 34, Key Acres 2nd Addition to Ray Avenue. Curbing, guttering, paving and grading of SCOTT AVENUE from the south line of Lot 29, Block 32, to the south line of Lot 1, Block 36, Key Acres 2nd Addition. Curbing, guttering, paving and grading of RAY AVENUE from the south line of Scott Avenue to the south line of Lot 13, Block 36, Key Acres 2nd Addition. Lateral Sanitary Sewer 532 - an 8" sewer pipe beginning at an existing manhole located at the northwest corner of Lot 29, Block 32, Key Acres 2nd Addition; thence running southwest along the rear of Lots 29 through 32, Block 32, and continuing southwest along the rear of Lots 7 and 8, Block 34, Key Acres 2nd Addition, where a manhole will be constructed which will be the terminus of Lateral 532. WHEREAS, notice:of public hearing on the advisability of said improvements has been published in The Salina Journal, the official city newspaper, on the 24th day of October, 1975, and the 31st day of October, 1975, as provided by said Resolution and K.S.A. Sections 12-6a01 to 12-6al8. WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, met in the Commissioners' Room, in the City -County Building on the :10th ..day ,of November,':1975, at 4:00 P.M. for the purpose of conducting a public hearing on the advisability of said improvements, said hearings were finally adjourned on the 10th day of November, 1975, as provided by law, SO NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the .City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. The estimated or probable cost of such improvement is $272,431.50. Section 4. The proposed apportionment of cost between the improvement district and the City -at -large is as follows: 1. Costs chargeable to private property in the amount of $260,243.50. 2. Costs chargeable to the City -at -large in the amount of $12,188.00. Section 5. The assessment, with accrued interest, to be levied as a special assessment tax upon the property,iricl.uded within the benefit district, concurrent with the general property tax and shall be payable in ten equal annual installments. . Section 6. The method of assessment shall be based on the front footage of each lot or.parcel of land and without regard to the buildings or improvement of the land. Section 7. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the public hearing on the advisability of the improvement set out in Section l hereof, is hereby finally adjourned.
